Kyriaki as an actress

Actress

Being bilingual and bicultural, Kyriaki acknowledges that theatre, music, singing, cultural factors, physical/mental exercise, a great sense of humour and affinity in diverse backgrounds shape one's identity, will, development and immunity to stress. Her acting training and clinical experience enables her to reflect on different roles and character she is portraying. She has a unique talent to identify and adopt character's traits as her own and use it as a tool to engage audience. She acknowledges the physical, psychological, and spiritual parameters in her roles as cardinal elements not only for the film/production but as model role to further understand how individuals exist within a family, community, and the global sectors of education, health, business and finance systems. Creative and approachable in environments that range from hospital intensive care units to community teams, schools, from teaching workshops to radio and TV presentations, Kyriaki is a dedicated worker of the link between Arts, Health and one's heart, a process that she describes as "Continuous Becoming with Reflective Practice".

Kyriaki's lifelong dedication and experience in theatre and singing enables her to incorporate theatre, music and dancing skills for art projects (theatre, film) and in clinical settings. The tactics she uses to also train others better help artists with professional difficulties (e.g. procrastination, isolation, and stage fright). Kyriaki studied acting under the guidance of Mr Yiannis Silignakis a renowned actor and director from Athens and at Lee Strasberg - Method studio in London. She also attended other various acting workshops (e.g. at Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts) in London and she participated in different roles with the Amateur Theater Group Pisces Players at West London (with an award for a cameo role). She studied dancing with Erik Brandt Nielsen at Valdosta State University USA. In addition she trained in singing at the Conservatory Mitropoulos Zante taught by Eleni Troussa. She continues her music training by Maestro Alexander Delialis and her acting training (e.g. Seminars by Costas Mousoulis, Manu Bennett, Louis Mandylor).

Her humanity, positive sense of humour and authenticity creates inspiring avenues in audience life. Her performance and presentations stemming from scientific and spiritual reflections based on arts, research and experience create one's heart's rehearsal platforms for further wellbeing explorations for professionals and for the general public. She has a powerful versatility as actress (e.g. drama, comic) including a role as a male. She has performed (acting dancing, singing) in UK, Greece and USA. She is aware that combining arts and science is a beneficial tool for humanity and our progress.

Kyriaki as a doctor

Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist - Assistant Professor - Clinical Neuropsychology Supervisor

An innovative practitioner in psychology. She is a distinguished international clinician and speaker who is aware of her privilege to work with individuals and teams from all over the world and within diverse socioeconomic and cultural systems. Kyriaki is the founder of the Global Heart Consulting Team (GHC).

Kyriaki completed her psychology studies and her Master studies in Health Psychology in London. She read Clinical Psychology and completed her Clinical Doctorate at the University of East London (UEL), a national health service funded program for distinguished students. She has extensive experience in the NHS and private practice, contributing in clinical research (neuropsychology, cardiac neuropsychology) and clinical practice and working with different age group clients and in different settings. In her practice and training programmes within teams, Kyriaki incorporates an integrated approach with Neuropsychology, Mindfuleness, Cognitive Analytical Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, ACT and ARTS as the main therapeutic frameworks.

As a psychologist at the Portland Hospital for Women and Children in London, she contributed in the foundation and establishment of the neuropsychological aspect of the paediatric neurorehabilitation unit at the Portland Hospital. She provided advice to other professionals on psychological aspects in relation to risk assessment and risk management. She provided culturally competent psychological assessments, family interviews and interventions considering cultural backgrounds (e.g. communication steps and ill health).

She collaborated with the cardiothoracic surgical teams at the St Bartholome's Hospital in London, completing her thesis on "Neuropsychological Sequelae and Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting" with individuals who undergone open heart surgery, propelling her to a level of understanding that mental and physical health exist on a interchangeable relationship in one's health or ill health on an intersection of physical, mental and spiritual line of coexistence. In her NHS position she established groups of Reflective Practice for professionals in inpatient psychiatric units enabling consultants, nurses, occupational therapists, art therapists and psychologists to reflect on their practice and clients recovery.

She believes and promotes that Reflective Practice is a technique and a process of becoming that could be employed by teams, organisations, not only within the health sector but in banking, business, arts, education and countries' organisation and management structures.
